Some coffees deliver consistency. Others deliver character. This Brazil Arabica Peaberry offers both.
Produced by smallholder members of COOCAFÉ, a cooperative founded in 1979 in Lajinha, Minas Gerais, this coffee reflects more than four decades of collaboration among Brazilian coffee farmers. A peaberry is a naturally occurring variation in which a single rounded seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of the usual pair of flat-sided seeds. COOCAFÉ supports more than 11,000 producers with technical assistance, quality programs, processing and storage, and access to markets.
In the cup, expect brown sugar, cocoa, roasted hazelnut, and a hint of spice, with smooth body, low acidity, and a clean finish. Distinctive, balanced, and versatile, this is a coffee that works beautifully as espresso, as filter, or however else you decide to brew.
